Harvest Ministries Outreach Center is a multicultural church family committed to Christ-centered worship, Biblical preaching, and redeeming love for our community and region.
What We Believe
We believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ our Savior, the Holy Spirit, the authority of Scripture, and the transforming power of salvation through faith.
God
God is the Creator of the world and sovereign over His creation. He is eternal and exists as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Mankind
Every person is made in the spiritual image of God to reflect His character and bring Him glory. Sin separates us from God, and forgiveness comes only through faith in Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death.
Eternal Life
We are spiritual beings having an earthly experience. Eternal life in Heaven is promised through accepting Jesus Christ’s payment for our sins.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the only Son of God. He lived without sin, died for humanity’s sins, rose from the dead, and will return to establish His Kingdom.
Salvation
Salvation is the forgiveness of sin and the beginning of life with God. Those who are saved respond through worship, service, generosity, fellowship, and sharing the gospel.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God’s presence with us today. He gives power for living, understanding of God’s ways, courage to share His love, and guidance for daily life.
The Bible
The Bible is God’s inspired and true Word, written through human authors guided by the Holy Spirit. It is the Christian’s standard for faith and life.
The Church
The Church is the worldwide fellowship of everyone who has sincerely accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior—the Body of Christ and the Family of God.
The Local Church
A local church is a community of faithful believers united to worship God and make Him known—not merely a building.
Baptism
Water baptism publicly recognizes the transformation that comes through salvation. We practice believer’s baptism for those able to understand their personal decision for Jesus.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit baptism is a noticeable work of the Spirit in a believer’s life. Speaking in tongues is one expression among many; it is not a measure of spiritual worth.
Communion
Communion remembers the sacrificial death and promised return of Jesus Christ. It may be shared in worship services, homes, and families whenever believers remember Him together.
Tithing
Tithing is God’s command to give ten percent of one’s gross income to His work through the local congregation.
Offerings
Offerings are financial gifts above the tithe, often directed toward a compassionate outreach, church project, or a specific need.
Biblical Sexuality
God creates every person as male or female. These distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
The Family and Marriage
The family is God’s foundational institution for human society. Marriage is the exclusive covenant union of one biological man and one biological woman before God.

Our heart is to reach all people with redeeming love and liberating power—bringing the Word of God to every age and background.

FOUNDER/SENIOR PASTORS
Pastors Tim & Brenda Adams
The fresh anointing on Apostle Tim Adams, complemented with a vision to propel people into their destiny, is touching the lives of countless individuals. God has called Apostle Adams to challenge the Body of Christ out of normalcy and into destiny—encouraging the church to find needs and fill them, and find hurts and heal them.
Apostle Tim Adams is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Harvest Ministries Outreach Center in Wadesboro, North Carolina. Harvest Ministries is a multicultural, multiracial church focused on evangelism and restoration.
Since its inception in 1999, Harvest has grown from 25 members to hundreds gathering weekly, becoming one of the fastest-growing churches in southeastern North Carolina. The ministry includes the House of Hope Homeless Shelter, The Movement Youth Center, Helping Hands Food Distribution, transportation throughout the region, and more than 44 in-reach and outreach ministries serving thousands each month.
Pastor Tim has also planted an outreach ministry in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended Ambassador Bible College in Cleveland, Ohio, and is ordained through World Harvest Church Ministerial Fellowship, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, and Redemption Church.
Apostle Tim and Harvest Ministries Outreach Center are under the spiritual covering of Redemption Church in San Jose, California. Apostle Adams resides in Wadesboro with his wife Brenda and their two adult children, who are actively engaged in their parents’ ministry.
LEAD PASTORS
Pastor Steve & Lady Lyndsey Adams
Pastor Steve grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and Wadesboro, North Carolina. As a preacher’s kid, he knew the call of God would be a major part of his life. From a young age, his desire was to reach people and be involved in an exciting, growing ministry.
That vision became a tangible reality when his father, Apostle Tim Adams, founded Harvest Ministries Outreach Center on the faith of 20 people who invested time and money and moved to the region believing God would do a mighty work in the Southern Piedmont of North Carolina. Pastor Steve became HMOC’s first Youth Pastor, Executive Pastor, Children’s Pastor, and whatever else was necessary.
In 2009, Harvest Ministries planted another outreach ministry in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina. This move led to the mantle and leadership of HMOC being placed on Pastor Steve Adams, who formally became Lead Pastor in January 2010.
The heart of Pastor Steve’s message is revolutionary faith and approaching every experience from a visionary perspective. His passion for seeing God’s purposes fulfilled is the driving force behind the ministry, and his messages are real, relevant, and designed to move people from complacency to a life full with Christ.
Pastor Steve has received numerous awards and acknowledgements from the city and county for his desire to reach all people. He holds an A.A.S. in Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration and Nonprofit from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and is ordained through the City Harvest Network of World Harvest Church in Columbus, Ohio.
Pastor Steve is married to Lyndsey Myers Adams. Lady Lyndsey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. A true Proverbs 31 woman of God, she mentors the young ladies of the ministry and helps lead Sister Hood Women, PowerHouse Kidsz Church, Better Together Couples, and other ministry areas. This pastoral couple resides in the Wadesboro area with their two children.

What Is an Apostle?
The office and ministry of an Apostle is one of five ministry gifts Christ gives to build and bless His Church, as described in Ephesians 4:11–16. All five ministry gifts are given by Jesus Christ, are needed for the Church to fulfill her destiny, and are to operate until Jesus Christ returns.
While the Church has historically accepted evangelists, pastors, and teachers, apostles and prophets are equally legitimate New Testament gifts. The word “apostle” literally means one sent forth on a mission. The New Testament names the twelve sent by Jesus and others—including Paul, Silas, Barnabas, Timothy, and Epaphroditus—who were later sent by the Church.
God is restoring all five ministry gifts to His Church, including apostles, so His Church can fully fulfill her New Testament mandate and mission today.
